Mistake

Every decision we make Comes with its consequences Some might have a happy ending While others might not end as we expect Life is a calculated risk Sometimes we have to roll the dice Even careful planning cannot assure the results Occasionally, we fall hard Even when there is no valid reason We call it fate Maybe there is another path The mistakes burn us But they tutor us They impart knowledge and experience They teach us life

Mother Nature

As we throw a wrapper on the road Grumbling about the uncleanliness of the country We compare our streets with picturesque destinations Little do we realise our fault in the issue Despite popular belief, the trash is not dumped in tonnes It is the collection of multiple wrappers And improper disposal techniques Most of us wonder how a single person can make a difference Maybe we cannot But if every single person makes a small change Then the world would be a better place We think that we own the earth Fortunately, we do not We rent the place For a short duration of time It is everyone’s responsibility for each one of us To protect our environment You need not plant a tree Just know proper waste disposal techniques

Appreciation

On a freezing cold night The world was busy as well So involved in their little lives The family huddled together And separately of course With their eyes glued on their phones And mouths filled with food They did not realise their blessing The love and warmth of their loved ones Their abundance was a curse in disguise They pulled their blanket And settled into the soft bed without a second thought The bed was an object of comfort They never really appreciated it The brand mattered Rather than the blessing of it Somewhere someone knew the value of it But did not have the chance to experience it They gathered the waste paper Lit a fire with the available stuff They were grateful for the warmth And the family they had The shortage gave them a valuable lesson It taught them gratitude And the ability to appreciate life

How I found myself

Who are you? What is your aspiration? These questions follow us wherever we go. This begins right from the day we are born. We see adults asking babies what they would like to become. This obsession intensifies when we grow. However, external questions do not always affect us. We are most affected by our inner conscience. We can never really lie to it. This is a trick question. We evolve regularly and have no clue about our best version. Our perspective changes and we concentrate on the current self. Some people are born confident, and they face life head-on. However, others are filled with insecurities and self-doubts. We question our every step and debate for every action. Though we might portray a calm exterior, our inner mind states otherwise.  When I first went to live alone, everything was scary. Everyone looked like monsters waiting to rip me apart. I was conscious of my every cell and behaviour. Like all, I wanted to be accepted. I yearned to be loved and make friends. My hear

Survival

Humans are an interesting species We are all about survival We started with absolutely nothing And have evolved with time We have survived natural calamities We have witnessed political warfares Science says that man was formed from monkeys The caveman struggled with the weather His need motivated him to grow To innovate and improve his standards Today we send satellites to space We live in apartment and duplex Our advancement is seen in all aspects And we owe it to our survival instincts

Unrequisited Love

Have you fallen in love with the wrong person? Or even the wrong time Love works in mysterious ways We cannot predict or control it Even the strongest men/women Can become victims of the bug It comes for no reason decipherable However, it does not always end it well There is not always a rainbow at the end of the journey There are something things which could not be right This could be the person or the time We sigh, gulp our feelings and move on We wish for a miracle But do not hold our breath about it We protect our memories And move on with a painful heart

Experience

Life is an experience We start with a clean slate at birth Every day we learn something new We improve our experiences We make mistakes We fall down and get hurt But we learn to get up And learn from our mistakes When would we complete this process? We never will Sometimes, life is not about growth It is about the experience It is about the knowledge It is about the urge to leave our footprints behind

The finishing Line

I have heard people say Aim for stars, and you will reach the mountains This is a motivation quote Or at least it is meant to be one However, in the world where we fail to look above How do we aspire to reach the stars? People do not have equal opportunities Yet the goal seems to be the same It is quite confusing The society always praises the winners And portray them as inspiration However, we fail to recognise the ones who try They might be in just near the finishing line Their ladder might be a lot deeper Yet the world does not appreciate them
