Gastronome

Born from the Greek Language
The word has travelled to France
And then settled in English
Though, not in regular use today
The word has a unique meaning
Something close my heart
And to every foodie in town

Gastro translates to stomach
And nome means laws
Surprisingly it is a noun
And it interprets as 'connoisseur of good food'
Food is more than fuel to many
And the words to define it
Beholds the same
